2009 is starting off with a bang for Huntington Beach-based rockers Star Off Machine. The quartet was named “Rock Group of the Year”, and finalist for “Best Independent CD” & "Drummer Of The Year" categories at the 2009 Los Angeles South Bay Music Awards. Also nominated for “Best Alternative” in the 2009 Orange County Music Awards. Finalist for "Best Live Band" and voted “Best Hard Rock Band” at the 2008 Orange County Music Awards. They are also nominated for “Best Album” and “Best Band” in the 2009 Rockwired Readers Poll. “BURN THIS” was also selected a “Top 10 Album Cover” for 2009 by Rockwired, an online music interviews/magazine. The band also just performed at the 2009 NAMM Convention.

Star Off Machine is quickly finding prominence in the Southern California Music scene. Formed in 2007 by Erick Holloway(vocals), Robin Charlet(guitar), Tut(drums) and Jeremy Whiteley(Bass), this Huntington Beach quartet is born of a broad spectrum of influences ranging from Sevendust to Sunny Day and Jeff Buckley to Taproot. The band's stage show is riotous as their rapidly growing Southern California fan base chant contagious melodies back at them.

Star Off Machine teamed up with producers, Tom Tatman(Stone Sour, Craig Erickson, Living Sacrifice), Tommy D(Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg) and percussion extraordinaire Stephen Perkins(Jane's Addiction, Porno For Pyros, Panic Channel) to record their first full length record entitled “Burn This”. Creating a romantically tragic soundtrack for any unsavory loss of innocence, Star Off Machine weaves emotionally wrought melodies and intimate lyrics with layers of grinding guitars, solid bass and explosive drums. From beginning to end, the band's broad spectrum of influences are evident. The first track, "Disaster", is an in-your-face, hard rock song about reflecting upon one's life only to find out what a mess it has become. In contrast, the album's last track, "Ninth Floor", is a somber orchestral piece about facing absolutes on the road to an eminent end.

The groups timely accounts of early success foreshadow its bright future while they tour to support “Burn This”.
